The Virtual and the Real

This is a new article on philosophical questions about virtual reality technology and virtual worlds, including:

Are virtual objects real?
Do virtual events really take place?
Is perception in virtual reality non-illusory?
Are experiences in a virtual world as valuable as experiences in a non-virtual world?

I argue for a positive answer to all four questions.
